The Dawoodi Bohras of Mauritius trace their roots of origin from a small port town of Gujarat in India known as Kutch Mandvi. Almost all of the Dawoodi Bohra families in Maurice, as it was known during the earlier days, have migrated in search of trade and livelihood by the blessings of the then Dai al-Mutlaq to the foreign lands. A few other families have also migrated from East African cities of Mombasa and Lamu, while a few others trace their roots from Karachi. The families from Karachi also have roots from Kutch Mandvi which was a frequently traveled city by the Kuchhis before the partition of India and Pakistan.
The earlier settlements of the Dawoodi Bohras, Mumineen, in Mauritius can be traced back to the late 1800s during the British Rule when most of the early settlers engaged in trade and business between India, East Africa and Madagascar.
The first Dawoodi Bohra Masjid was built in the Capital city of Port Loius at Louis Pasteur, by the blessings of the 51st Dai al-Mutlaq Syedna Taher Saifuddin (RA) and was inaugurated by Raza Mubarak of Syedna Taher Saifuddin (RA) by the late Mukasir Saheb Syedi Saleh Bs Safiyuddin in the year 1932.
3rd ZilHajj al-Haraam marked a glorious day for the Dawoodi Bohra community in Mauritius when His Holiness Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin TUS, the 52nd Dai al-Mutlaq laid foot on the soil of Mauritius. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin TUS became the first Dai al-Mutlaq to bless the land of Mauritius. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin TUS arrived directly at the Masjid from the airport and graced the Mumineen present with bayan and Shahadat of Imam Husain AS. Mumineen for the first time did matam of Imam Husain AS with their Dai.
On Thursday, the 4th of ZilHajj al-Haraam Syedna TUS visited the Martin Hotel. Later that day Syedna TUS departed to Mumbai by Air Mauritius at 2 PM, leaving behind him memories of love and blessings.
Wednesday, 16th Zilqad al-Haraam 1416H opened marked a golden day in the history of Mauritius for the Dawoodi Bohra Community as His Holiness Dr Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb TUS graced the country for the second time by his eminent visit.
A villa had been purchased at Beau-Bassin by Syedna TUS and granted to the Dawoodi Bohras of Mauritius to be used as a community center. Syedna TUS inaugurated the community center and named it “Jamali Markaz”.
Syedna TUS addressed Mumineen with Bayan Mubarak and advised them to be loyal to the laws of the land while engaging themselves in trade and business.
Syedna TUS also granted Raza Mubarak to form a committee of Mumineen for the betterment of the community in Mauritius and named it Anjuman-e-Zainy which could be registered under the legal system of the land.
Later that day Syedna TUS son, and now the heir apparent and Mansoos of Syedna TUS, graced the Dawoodi Bohra Mumineen with misaq.
Later that day Syedna TUS departed from Mauritius after showering enormous bounties and blessing that will be cherished by the Dawoodi Bohras of Mauritius for generations to come. During his short visit Syedna TUS enlightened the souls of Mumineen by the radiance of his guidance towards Islam and Eman. Syedna TUS enriched them with barakaat in this world and the hereafter in just 8 hours of his visit.
Today, there are 16 Dawoodi Bohra families residing in Mauritius. They engage in business and professions in the field of Education, Medicine, Business consultation, Information Technology etc. adding to the prosperity and development of the nation under the auspicious guidance and blessings of their Dai, His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb TUS.

#Expo2020…What it Means to Us?
World Expos are a key meeting point for the global community to share innovations and make progress on issues of international importance such as the global economy, sustainable development and improved quality of life for the world’s population.

We might ask, “Why would you need so many seeds to grow just a few more trees?”
Nature has something to teach us here. It’s telling us: “Most seeds never grow. So if you really want to make something happen, you better try more than once.”
This might mean:
You’ll attend twenty interviews to get one job.
You’ll interview forty people to find one good employee.
You’ll talk to fifty people to sell one house, car, vacuum cleaner, idea…
And you might meet a hundred acquaintances to find one special friend.
When we understand the “Law of the Seed”, we don’t get so disappointed.
We stop feeling like victims. Laws of nature are not things to take personally.

Top 10 keyboard shortcuts Using keyboard shortcuts can greatly increase your productivity, reduce repetitive strain, and help keep you focused. For example, highlighting text with the keyboard and pressing Ctrl + C is much faster than taking your hand from the keyboard, highlighting the text using the mouse, clicking copy from the file menu, and then putting your hand back in place on the keyboard. Ctrl + C or Ctrl + Insert
Copy the highlighted text or selected item.
Ctrl + V or Shift + Insert
Paste the text or object that’s in the clipboard.
Ctrl + Z and Ctrl + Y
Undo any change. For example, if you cut text, pressing this will undo it. This can also often be pressed multiple times to undo multiple changes. Pressing Ctrl + Y would redo the undo.
Ctrl + F
Open the Find in any program. This includes your Internet browser to find text on the current page.
Alt + Tab or Alt + Esc
Quickly switch between open programs moving forward.
Tip: Press Ctrl + Tab to switch between tabs in a program.
Tip: Adding the Shift key to Alt + Tab or Ctrl + Tab will move backwards. For example, if you are pressing Alt + Tab and pass the program you want to switch to, press Alt + Shift + Tab to move backwards to that program.
Tip: Windows Vista and 7 users can also press the Windows Key + Tab to switch through open programs in a full screenshot of the Window.
Ctrl + Back space and Ctrl + Left or Right arrow
Pressing Ctrl + Backspace will delete a full word at a time instead of a single character.
Holding down the Ctrl key while pressing the left or right arrow will move the cursor one word at a time instead of one character at a time. If you wanted to highlight one word at a time you can hold down Ctrl + Shift and then press the left or right arrow key to move one word at a time in that direction while highlighting each word.
Ctrl + S
While working on a document or other file in almost every program pressing Ctrl + S will save that file. This shortcut key should be used frequently anytime you’re working on anything important.
Ctrl + Home or Ctrl + End
Move the cursor to the beginning or end of a document.
Ctrl + P
Print the page being viewed. For example, the document in Microsoft Word or the web page in your Internet browser.
Page Up, Space bar, and Page Down
Pressing either the page up or page down key will move that page one page at a time in that direction. When browsing the Internet pressing the space bar will also move the page down one page at a time. If you press Shift and the Space bar the page will go up a page at a time.
Tip: If you are using the space bar to go down one page at a time press the Shift key and space bar to go up one page at a time.
