CONTRAST
There is something special about a winter camp fire that just does not happen in the summertime. Perhaps it is the smell of the burning wood that stands out because the snow covers up all other smells. Perhaps it is the sensation of warmth on otherwise frozen skin. Perhaps it is the excitement of creating heat when nature has programmed cold.Around our fire pit, as in life, contrast is exciting. Contrast keeps us vibrant. Contrast energizes.
Yes, we have to go along with the flow to live amongst other human beings and we have to rely on well-worn habits to get anything accomplished in a day. But a little contrast, a little acting outside the box, sure spices up one's life.
