I doubt that if given an opportunity any multinational ISP would not  be interested in stepping in the UAE and competition does have its own benefits.  I would also like to point out that eCompany blocks sites that provide free SMS  services like mtnsms or voice chats like skype which are a reality around the  globe. In India its common to find places where INR 10 a minute is charged for  an call anywhere round the globe via Internet phones that use routers and high  speed Internet connections. Where does the UAE stand looking at this one may  ask.
