The Secret Revealed

The Great Secret of life is the law of attraction.

The law of attraction says that like attracts like, so when you think a thought, you are also atracting like thoughts to you.

Thoughts are magnetic, and thoughts have a frequency. As you think thoughts, they are sent out into the Universe, and they magnetically attract all like things that are on the same frequency. Everything sent out returns to the source — you.

You are like a human transmission tower, transmitting a frequency with your thoughts. If you want to change anything in your life, change the frequency by changing your thoughts.

Your current thoughts are creating your future life. What you think about the most or focus on the most will appear as your life.

Your thoughts become things.

The Secret Made Simple

The law of attraction is a law of nature. It is as impartial as the law of gravity.

Nothing can come into your experience unless you summon it through persistent thoughts.

To know what you’re thinking, ask yourself how you are feeling. Emotions are valuable tools that instantly tell us what we are thinking.

It is impossible to feel bad and at the same time have good thoughts.

Your thoughts determine your frequency, and your feelings tell you immediately what frequency you are on. When you feel bad, you are on the frequency of drawing more bad things. When you feel good, you are powerfully attracting more good things to you.

Secret Shifters, such as pleasant memories, nature, or your favorite music, can change your feelings and shift your frequency in any instant.

The feeling of love is the highest frequency you can emit. The greater the love you feel and emit, the greater the power you are harnessing.

How to Use the Secret

Like Aladdin’s Genie, the law of attraction grants our every command.

The Creative Process helps you create what you want in three simple steps: ask, believe, and receive.

Asking the Universe for what you want is your opportunity to get clear about what you want. As you get clear in your mind, you have asked.

Believing involves acting, speaking, and thinking as though you have already received what you’ve asked for. When you emit the frequency of having received it, the law of attraction moves people, events, and circumstances for you to receive.

Receiving involves feeling the way you will feel once your desire has manifested. Feeling good now puts you on the frequency of what you want.

To lose weight, don’t focus on “losing weight.” Instead, focus on your perfect weight. Feel the feelings of your perfect weight, and you will sumomn it to you.

It takes no time for the Universe to manifest what you want. It is as easy to manifest one dollar as it its to manifest one million dollar.

Starting with something small, like a cup of coffee or parking spaces, is an easy way to experience the law of attraction in action. Powerfully intend to attract something small. As you experience the power you have to attract, you will move on to creating much bigger things.

Create your day in advance by thinking the way you want it to go, and you will create your life intentionally.

Powerfully Processes

Expectation is a powerful attractive force. Expect the things you want, and don’t expect the things you don’t want.

Gratitude is a powerful process for shifting your energy and bringing more of what you want into your life. Be grateful for waht you already have, and you will attract more good things.

Giving thanks for what you want in advance turbo-charges your desires and sends a more powerful signal into the Universe.

Visualization is a process of creating pictures in your mind of yourself enjoying what you want. When you visualize, ou generate powerful thoughts and feelings of having it now. THe law of attraction then returns that reality to you, just as you saw it in your mind.

To use the law of attraction to your advantage, make it a habitual way of being, not just a one-time event.

At the end of everyday, before you go to sleep, go back through the events of the day. Any events or moments that were not what you wanted, replay them in your mind the way you want them to go.

The Secret to Money

To attract money, focus on wealth. It is impossible to bring more money into your life when you focus on the lack of it.

It is helpful to use your imagination and make-believe you already have the money you want. Play games of having wealth and you will feel better about money, as you feel better about it, more will flow into your life.

Feeling happy now is the fastest way to bring money into your life.

Make it your intention to look at everything you like and say to yourself, “I can afford that. I can buy that.” You will shift your thinking and begin to feel better about money.

Give money in order to bring more of it into your life. When you are generous with money and feel good about sharing it, you are saying, “I have plenty.”

Visualize checks in the mail.

Tip the balance of your thoughts to wealth. Think wealth.

The Secret to Relationships

When you want to attract a relationship, make sure your thoughts, words, actions, and surroundings don’t contradict your desires.

Your job is you. Unless you fill yourself up first, you have nothing to give to anybody.

Treat yourself with love and respect, and you will attract people who show you love and respect.

When you feel bad about yourself, you block the love and instead you attract more people and situations that will continue to make you feel bad about you.

To make a relationship work, focus on what you appreciate about the other person, and not your complaints. When you focus on the strengths, you will get more of them.

The Secret to Health

The placebo effect is an example of the law of attraction in action. When a patient truly believes that the tablet is a cure, he receives what he believes and and is cured.

“Focusing on perfect health” is something we can all do within ourselves, despite what may be happening on the outside.

Laughter attracts joy, releases negativity, and leads to miraculous cures.

Disease is heald in the body by thought, by observation of the illness, and by the attention given to the illness. If you are feeling a little unwell, don’t talk about it–unless you want more of it. If you listen to people talk about their illness, you add energy to their illness. Instead, change the conversation to good things, and give powerful thoughts to seeing those people in health.

Beliefs about aging are all in our minds, so release those thoughts from your consciousness. Focus on health and eternal youth.

Do not listen to society’s messages about diseases and aging. Negative messages do not serve you.

The Secret to the World

What you resist, you attract, because you are powerfully focused on it with emotion. To change anything, go within and emit a new signal with your thoughts and feelings.

You cannot help the world by focusing on the negative things. As you focus on the world’s negative events, you not only add to them, but you also bring more negative things into your own life.

Instead of focusing on the world’s problems, give attention and energy to trust, love, abundance, education and peace.

We will never run out of good things because there’s more than enough to go around for everyone. Life is meant to be abundant.

You have the ability to tap into the unlimited supply through your thoughts and feelings and bring it into your experience.

Praise and bless everying in the world, and you will dissolve negativity and discard and align yourslef with the highest frequency—love.

The Secret to You

Everything is energy. You are an energy magnet, so you electrically energize everything to you and electrically energize yourself to everything you want.

You are a spiritual being. You are energy, and energy cannot be created nor destroyed–it just changes form. Therefore, the pure eessence of you has always been and always will be.

The Universe emerges from thought. We are the creators not only of our own destiny but also of the Universe.

An unlimited supply of ideas is available to you. All knowledge, discoveries, and inventions are in the Universal Mind as possibilities, awaiting for the hman mind to draw them forth. You hold everything in your consciousness.

We are all connected, and we are all One.

Let go of difficulties in your past, cultural codes, and social beliefs. You are the only one who can create the life you deserve.

A shortcut to manifesting your desires is to see what you want as absolute fact.

Your power is in your thoughts, so stay aware. In other words, “Remember to remember.”

The Secret to Life

You get to fill the blackboard of your life with whatever you want.

The only thing you need to do is feel good now.

The more you use the power within you, the more power you will draw through you.

The time to embrace your magnificence is now.

We are in the midst of a glorious era. AS we let go of limiting thoughts, we will experience humanity’s true magnificence, in every area of creation.

Do what you love. If you don’t know what brings you joy, ask, “What is my job?” As you commit to your joy, you will attract to an avalanche of joyful things because you are radiating joy.

Now that you have learned the knowledge of The Secret, what you do with it is up to you. Whatever you choose is right. The power is all yours.

1. Do important work vs. merely offering opinions.

2. Lift people up vs. tear others down.

3. Use the words of leadership vs. the language of victimhood.

4. Don’t worry about getting the credit for getting things done.

5. Become part of the solution rather than part of the problem.

6. Take your health to a level called superfit.

7. Commit to mastery of your craft instead of accepting mediocrity in your work.

8. Associate with people whose lives you want to be living.

9. Study for an hour a day. Double your learning and you’ll triple your success.

12. Lead Without a Title.

13. Focus on people’s strengths vs. obsessing around their weaknesses.

You can really Lead Without a Title.

Knowing what to do and not doing it is the same as not knowing what to do.

Give away what you most wish to receive.

The antidote to stagnation is innovation.

The conversations you are most resisting are the conversations you most need to be having.

Leadership is no longer about position – but passion. It’s no longer about image but impact. This is Leadership 2.0.

The bigger the dream, the more important to the team.

Visionaries see the “impossible” as the inevitable.

All great thinkers are initially ridiculed – and eventually revered.

The more you worry about being applauded by others and making money, the less you’ll focus on doing the great work that will generate applause. And make you money.

To double your net worth, double your self-worth. Because you will never exceed the height of your self-image.

The more messes you allow into your life, the more messes will become a normal (and acceptable) part of your life.

The secret to genius is not genetics but daily practice married with relentless perseverance.

The best leaders lift people up versus tear people down.

The most precious resource for businesspeople is not their time. It’s their energy. Manage it well.

The fears you run from run to you.

The most dangerous place is in your safety zone.

The more you go to your limits, the more your limits will expand.

Every moment in front of a customer is a gorgeous opportunity to live your values.

Be so good at what you do that no one else in the world can do what you do.

You’ll never go wrong in doing what is right.

It generally takes about 10 years to become an overnight sensation.

Never leave the site of a strong idea without doing something to execute around it.

A strong foundation at home sets you up for a strong foundation at work.

Never miss a moment to encourage someone you work with.

Saying “I’ll try” really means “I’m not really committed.”

The secret of passion is purpose.

Do a few things at mastery versus many things at mediocrity.

To have the rewards that very few have, do the things that very few people are willing to do.

Go where no one’s gone and leave a trail of excellence behind you.

Who you are becoming is more important than what you are accumulating.

Accept your teammates for what they are and inspire them to become all they can be.

To triple the growth of your organization, triple the growth of your people.

The best leaders are the most dedicated learners. Read great books daily. Investing in your self-development is the best investment you will ever make.

Other people’s opinions of you are none of your business.

Change is hardest at the beginning, messiest in the middle and best at the end.

Measure your success by your inner scorecard versus an outer one.

Understand the acute difference between the cost of something and the value of something.

Nothing fails like success. Because when you are at the top, it’s so easy to stop doing the very things that brought you to the top.

The best leaders blend courage with compassion.

The less you are like others, the less others will like you.

The thoughts you think today determine the results you’ll see tomorrow.

Excellence in one area is the beginning of excellence in every area.

The real reward for doing your best work is not the money you make but the leader you become.

Passion + production = performance.

The value of getting to your goals lives not in reaching the goal but what the talents/strengths/capabilities the journey reveals to you.

Stand for something. Or else you’ll fall for anything.

Say “thank you” when you’re grateful and “sorry” when you’re wrong.

Make the work you are doing today better than the work you did yesterday.

Small daily – seemingly insignificant – improvements and innovations lead to staggering achievements over time.

Peak performers replace depletion with inspiration on a daily basis.

Take care of your relationships and the sales/money will take care of itself.

You can’t be great if you don’t feel great. Make exceptional health your #1 priority.

Doing the difficult things that you’ve never done awakens the talents you never knew you had.

As we each express our natural genius, we all elevate our world.

Your daily schedule reflects your deepest values.

People do business with people who make them feel special.

All things being equal, the primary competitive advantage of your business will be your ability to grow Leaders Without Titles faster than your industry peers.

Treat people well on your way up and they’ll treat you well on your way down.

Success lies in a masterful consistency around a few fundamentals. It really is simple. Not easy. But simple.

The business (and person) who tries to be everything to everyone ends up being nothing to anyone.

One of the primary tactics for enduring winning is daily learning.

To have everything you want, help as many people as you can possibly find get everything they want.

Understand that a problem is only a problem if you choose to view it as a problem (vs. an opportunity).

Clarity precedes mastery. Craft clear and precise plans/goals/deliverables. And then block out all else.

The best in business spend far more time on learning than in leisure.

Lucky is where skill meets persistence.

The best Leaders Without a Title use their heads and listen to their hearts.

The things that are hardest to do are often the things that are the best to do.

Every single person in the world could be a genius at something, if they practiced it daily for at least ten years (as confirmed by the research of Anders Ericsson and others).

Daily exercise is an insurance policy against future illness. The best Leaders Without Titles are the fittest.

Education is the beginning of transformation. Dedicate yourself to daily learning via books/audios/seminars and coaching.

The quickest way to grow the sales of your business is to grow your people.

The global economy is in a state of acute disruption. Competition has never been more fierce. Consumers have never been so well-informed and loudly demanding. And what worked yesterday just might be obsolete today.

But this time is also a great time, for the astonishing few who are ready to show leadership. Leaders are at their absolute best during messy cycles versus during the easy ones. And messy cycles bring with them gorgeous opportunities.

As I sit quietly on this airplane at 40,000 feet, away from the rallying cries of a wired world filled with endless interruptions, I’ve distilled what I’ve been sharing in my presentations to clients across the planet over the past months, from Kuwait and Dubai to Paris, London and Dusseldorf.

Here are 50 powerful rules to amp up your game so this business cycle is one of your best business cycles yet.

The 50 New Rules of Work

You are not just paid to work. You are paid to be uncomfortable – and to pursue projects that scare you.

Take care of your relationships and the money will take care of itself.

Lead you first. You can’t help others reach for their highest potential until you’re in the process of reaching for yours.

To double your income, triple your rate of learning.

While victims condemn change, leaders grow inspired by change.

Small daily improvements over time create stunning results.

Surround yourself with people courageous enough to speak truthfully about what’s best for your organization and the customers you serve.

Don’t fall in love with your press releases.

Every moment in front of a customer is a moment of truth (to either show you live by the values you profess – or you don’t).

Copying what your competition is doing just leads to being second best.

Become obsessed with the user experience such that every touchpoint of doing business with you leaves people speechless. No, breathless.

If you’re in business, you’re in show business. The moment you get to work, you’re on stage. Give us the performance of your life.

Be a Master of Your Craft. And practice + practice + practice.

Get fit like Madonna.

Read magazines you don’t usually read. Talk to people who you don’t usually speak to. Go to places you don’t commonly visit. Disrupt your thinking so it stays fresh + hungry + brilliant.

Remember that what makes a great business – in part – are the seemingly insignificant details. Obsess over them.

Good enough just isn’t good enough.

Brilliant things happen when you go the extra mile for every single customer.

An addiction to distraction is the death of creative production. Enough said.

If you’re not failing regularly, you’re definitely not making much progress.

Lift your teammates up versus tear your teammates down. Anyone can be a critic. What takes guts is to see the best in people.

Remember that a critic is a dreamer gone scared.

Leadership’s no longer about position. Now, it’s about passion. And having an impact through the genius-level work that you do.

The bigger the dream, the more important the team.

If you’re not thinking for yourself, you’re following – not leading.

Work hard. But build an exceptional family life. What’s the point of reaching the mountaintop but getting there alone.

The job of the leader is to develop more leaders.

The antidote to deep change is daily learning. Investing in your professional and personal development is the smartest investment you can make. Period.

Smile. It makes a difference.

Say “please” and “thank you”. It makes a difference.

Shift from doing mindless toil to doing valuable work.

Remember that a job is only just a job if all you see it as is a job.

Don’t do your best work for the applause it generates but for the personal pride it delivers.

The only standard worth reaching for is BIW (Best in World).

In the new world of business, everyone works in Human Resources.

In the new world of business, everyone’s part of the leadership team.

Words can inspire. And words can destroy. Choose yours well.

You become your excuses.

You’ll get your game-changing ideas away from the office versus in the middle of work. Make time for solitude. Creativity needs the space to present itself.

The people who gossip about others when they are not around are the people who will gossip about you when you’re not around.

It could take you 30 years to build a great reputation and 30 seconds of bad judgment to lose it.

The client is always watching.

The way you do one thing defines the way you’ll do everything. Every act matters.

To be radically optimistic isn’t soft. It’s hard. Crankiness is easy.

People want to be inspired to pursue a vision. It’s your job to give it to them.

Every visionary was initially called crazy.

The purpose of work is to help people. The other rewards are inevitable by-products of this singular focus.

Remember that the things that get scheduled are the things that get done.

Keep promises and be impeccable with your word. People buy more than just your products and services. They invest in your credibility.

Lead Without a Title.

I encourage you to share + discuss + debate these with your team and throughout your organization. Within a quick period of time, you’ll see some fantastic results.

Sometimes thinking about your life and sorting out what you have learned is just as important as tackling a new venture.

Reflect on your past, dig deep within yourself and answer one simple question:

What has life taught you?

Think about all the things you would love to tell yourself if you could travel back in time to give your younger self some advice about life.

Here’s a sample of 111 life lessons that were recently submitted to the site:

Spend more time with those who make you smile and less time with those who you feel pressured to impress.

Never tell someone their dreams are impossible. You’ll feel like a fool when they prove you wrong.

No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who isn’t trying.

Pursuing happiness by acquiring material things (fancy cars, expensive jewelry, designer clothing) is like jogging to the grocery store on your treadmill: it won’t get you anywhere.

Laugh at stupid jokes. Apologize. Tell someone how much they mean to you. It’s the small moments that make life grand.

At 79, I regret the things I didn’t do far more than the things I did.

Life is way more enjoyable when you stop trying to be cool and simply focus on being yourself.

Start by asking yourself whether each of your relationships drags you down or lifts you up. Surrounding yourself with positive, loving people is half the battle of living a happy, successful life.

When the ‘want’ gets stronger, the ‘how’ gets easier.

Too often we judge people on too little information. Instead of judging someone for what they do or where they are in their life, figure out why they do what they do and how they got to where they are.

If you want to feel rich, just count all the great things you have that money can’t buy.

I have taken noticed that the deeper I know about myself, the clearer I understand others.

You can’t change who you are. You can only change what you know and how you apply this knowledge.

I don’t need a certain number of friends, just a number of friends I can be certain of.

People who are meant to be together will find their way back to each other. They may take detours, but they’re never lost.

The older I get, and the more I learn, the more I realize I know so little. At 72, life still teaches me new lessons every day.

You can press forward long after you can’t. It’s just a matter of wanting it bad enough.

Complaining is like slapping yourself for slapping yourself. It doesn’t solve the problem, it just hurts you more.

Embrace change. As uncomfortable as it is sometimes, change allows us to stretch and grow. New things feel awkward and scary at first, but those feelings go away, and you are left with something bigger and bolder in your life.

Nobody ever feels 100% ready when an opportunity arises. Because most great opportunities in life force us to grow emotionally and intellectually. They force us to stretch ourselves and our comfort zones, which means we won’t feel totally comfortable at first. And when we don’t feel comfortable, we don’t feel ready.

No matter how bad your heart has been broken the world doesn’t stop for your grief. The sun comes right back up the next day.

Supporting, guiding, and making contributions to other people is one of life’s greatest rewards. In order to get, you have to give.

Learn to adjust the sails of your life to unpredictable winds, while keeping your focus clear on your destination. And keep sailing until you get there.

As you strive to achieve your goals and dreams you can count on there being some fairly substantial disappointments along the way. Don’t get discouraged, the road to your dreams may not be an easy one. Think of these disappointments as challenges – tests of persistence and courage – that life throws at you during your journey. They are necessary and are meant to help you grow as a person.

Spend less than you earn, go without until you have the money in hand.

Freedom is the greatest gift. Self-sufficiency is the greatest freedom.

Even when you feel like you have nothing, someone else likely has far less. Find them and help them. You’ll see why.

Marriages evolve and change. The feelings you had for the man or woman you married will mutate and evolve several times over the life of a marriage. Hopefully you will evolve in the same direction or at least embrace and accept the changes in the other person. It takes work, and sometimes it takes counseling. Don’t gloss over those changes or you may wake up next to a stranger one day.

Negativity breeds more negativity. When you focus only on the negative, obviously that’s all you will see. You will not seek out positivity, and even when positivity comes into your life, you’ll look for the negative side of things.

If you want something in your life you’ve never had, you’ll have to do something you’ve never done.

As a child, I always thought the expression “it’s better to give than to receive” was trite and silly. As an adult, I recognize the expression’s value. Having the capacity to give means you possess a mindset of abundance. Having the will to give means you want to make a difference in the world. Having the desire to give means you care.

It’s not so much what you say that counts, it’ how you make people feel.

Figure out what you want. Set real goals and make a logical plan to achieve them. It’s like the old saying, “A goal that is never written down is nothing more than a New Year’s resolution.” And we all know what happens to New Year’s resolutions.

Being open-minded is the key to more knowledge. If you want to know more about the world you have to keep an open mind. You have to give people and things a chance.

If you want love, give love. If you want friends, be friendly. If you want money, provide value. It really is this simple.

If something won’t be significant to you 3 days/3 months/3 years from now, don’t waste all your time worrying about it now.

Manage aging, but why fight it? You can spend a fortune on face creams, plastic surgery, hair growth formulas, and Botox, but eventually you realize you are fighting an uphill battle. Groom yourself nicely. Stay fit. Have unsightly things removed. But accept the beauty of aging. A striking mature man or woman is much more attractive than someone who looks overly taunt, tanned or top-heavy.

Never regret. If it’s good, it’s wonderful. If it’s bad, it’s experience.

Being busy and being productive are two different things.

Life is unbelievably brief. When you’re young, you might feel like there’s a huge mass of time ahead of you. But trust me, it passes much faster than you think. You get gray hairs before you feel like a real adult. And then you have kids, and suddenly they’re leaving for college. Stop long enough to appreciate it all.

Mistakes teach you important lessons. Every time you make one, you’re one step closer to your goal. The only mistake that can truly hurt you is choosing to do nothing simply because you’re too scared to make a mistake.

Your health is your life, keep up with it. Get an annual physical check-up.

Change is the only permanent thing in life.

Having a thousand credentials on the wall will not make you a decent human being. But genuinely helping one person everyday will.

You must create and look for opportunities. Opportunities rarely ever come knocking on the door of someone who’s not seeking them. You have to create and seek opportunities for yourself. You have to take the initiative to get the ball rolling and the doors opening.

Keep your brain active. Don’t get into a mental rut. Do new things, learn new things, explore new ideas in all areas of your life. Keep challenging yourself and your mind. Be curious and interested in the world around you.

Someone always has it worse. At times you may be having a bad day, but stop yourself and think about it; there are plenty of other people who have it worse off than you do.

In work and business, when they need you more than you need them, you have succeeded.

Trying to be somebody you’re not is not sexy. Be you. That’s when you’re beautiful.

Truly ‘rich’ people need ‘less’ to be happy.

Your ability to select a suitable spouse will greatly influence your financial and emotional well-being. Three common sense guidelines: 1. Pick someone who’s a joy to be around and who makes you happy. 2. Know the person well. 3. Ensure compatibility beyond physical attraction because beauty and youth are fleeting, while the mind and heart endure.

No matter how much progress you make there will always be the people who insist that whatever you’re trying to do is impossible. Or they may incessantly suggest that the idea or dream as a whole is utterly ridiculous because nobody really cares. When you come across these people, don’t try to reason with them. Instead, forget that they exist. They will only waste your time and energy.

We are all weird. And life is weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we call it love.

Saying “no” to right people gives you the time and resources required to say “yes” to right opportunities.

Living a life of honesty creates peace of mind, and peace of mind is priceless. Period. Don’t be dishonest and don’t put up with people who are.

If you catch yourself working hard and loving every minute of it, don’t stop. You’re on to something big. Because hard work ain’t hard when you concentrate on your passions.

Bulls**t might help you get you to the top, but it won’t keep you there. The truth always rises to the top and buries the bulls**t eventually.

After 40 years of teaching at a local college I’ve come to realize that a teacher is nothing but a clever student.

Sooner or later, you just want to be around the people who make you smile.

Forgiving yourself is far more important (and difficult) than getting others to forgive you.

Simplicity is often a major factor of success. But the process of simplifying things is rarely easy.

There are few joys in life that equal a good conversation, a good read, a good walk, a good hug, a good smile, or a good friend.

Laughter is the best medicine for stress. Laugh at yourself often. Find the humor in whatever situation you’re in.

Everything that happens in life is neither good nor bad. It just depends on your perspective.

When you spend time worrying, you’re simply using your imagination to create things you don’t want.

Maturity is more about education and life experience than it is about age. I know plenty of mature 30-somethings and immature 50-somethings.

When passion and skill work together, we’re often left with a masterpiece.

You’re not alone. Everyone has problems. Some people are just better at hiding them than others.

True friendship and true love do sustain the tests of distance and time.

It’s the simple things in life that are the most extraordinary. I believe this to be true and have experienced this with my own family. When I think of the times where we laughed the most or had the most fun – it was when we were doing simple, everyday things like swimming in a pool, combing a beach for shells, playing a board game or sharing a delicious meal.

Get up 30 minutes earlier so you don’t have to rush around like a mad man. That 30 minutes will help you avoid speeding tickets, tardiness, and other unnecessary headaches. (Read Getting Things Done.)

It is okay to be angry. It is never okay to be cruel.

Arguments are natural. An argument between two close friends doesn’t show a lack of love or respect, it’s simply a disagreement. In fact, quite often, the only reason we get frustrated with people and argue with them is because we care about them. Which is why we need to remember not to get too carried away.

Money and stuff are not all that important. Yes, you want enough to be comfortable and do the things you want to do. But accumulating for the sake of accumulating is boring and empty. Trust me, it gets old fast. So feed your soul, not your ego.

Hang out with younger people. Stay connected with what the generation behind you is doing and thinking. Establish friendships with them. You will benefit and learn from each other. Don’t act superior, because younger people may know a whole lot more than you do.

There is nothing to hold you back except yourself. There is only one question to ask yourself here: “What would you do if you were not afraid?” Think about it.

No matter how it turns out, it always ends up just the way it should be. Either you succeed or you learn something. Win-Win.

Either you’re going to take action and seize new opportunities or someone else will. You can’t change anything or make any sort of progress by sitting back and thinking about it.

Your years spent at school, reading and learning will seem short compared to a lifetime of minimum wage jobs. Get a good education, concentrate on areas that interest you and pursue your dreams.

Keep six months of your salary in an emergency savings account just in case you lose your job or have an emergency that prevents you from working for a prolonged period of time. And keep a few extra hundred dollars on hand for unexpected expenses, such as car and home repair.

A hero is someone who makes a positive difference in someone else’s life – even if it’s only one other person’s life.

You’re never too old to follow your dreams, whatever they may be. I didn’t start my first business until I was 46 (something I always wanted to do). Now at 53, my business is more successful than I ever could have dreamed.

Let your kids fail. Your kids will be okay, even if you think they are headed for the juvenile hall right now. Don’t come to their rescue all the time. Don’t manage every detail of their lives or over-schedule them with karate or viola lessons. Give them some boundaries, and then relax.

Be vulnerable. Allow yourself to feel, to be open and authentic. Tear down any emotional brick walls you have built around yourself and feel every exquisite emotion, both good and bad. This is real life. This is how you welcome new opportunities.

There’s no such thing as ‘risk free.’ Everything you do or don’t do in life has an inherent risk.

Take a step back to gain some perspective. Usually when we’re worried or upset, it’s because we’ve lost perspective. In the grand scheme of things, this one problem means almost nothing.

Every mistake you make is progress. Mistakes teach you important lessons. Every time you make one, you’re one step closer to your goal. The only mistake that can truly hurt you is choosing to do nothing simply because you’re too scared to make a mistake.

The greatest “adventure” is the ability to INQUIRE, TO ASK QUESTIONS. Sometimes in the process of inquiry, the search is more significant than the answers. Answers come from other people, from the universe of knowledge and history, and from the intuition and deep wisdom inside yourself.

If it were easy everyone would do it. This is why get rich quick schemes will never be true. If it was so quick and easy then everyone would be millionaires. Making money and accomplishing tasks is hard work, but well worth it.

If you awake every morning with the thought that something wonderful will happen in your life today, and you pay close attention, you’ll often find that you’re right.

If you keep doing what you’re doing, you’ll keep getting what you’re getting.

Count your blessings every day. I know, this is a refrigerator magnet line, but practice it daily anyway. There is so much good, so much beauty, so much love in your life. What more do you really need? You have so much right now, you just need to pause long enough to appreciate it.

It’s not about getting a chance, it’s about taking a chance. You’ll rarely be 100% sure it will work. But you can always be 100% sure doing nothing won’t work. Sometimes you just have to go for it!

The one with nothing to hide is always the one left standing tall.

There is only one way to learn, and that is through action. Trying to learn without doing is like trying to lose weight by watching someone else exercise. It’s just not going to work.

Change happens for a reason. Roll with it. It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it.

Experience life before you settle down. Whatever it is you want to do or experience, do as much of it as you can before you have children. Especially travel. Live in a hostel in Costa Rica for a month or drive across the country from coast to coast if you have to. But go have some really great, amazing, mind-blowing experiences.

Life gives and takes away. During difficult times, be committed to resolving problems, but also lighten up and ride the waves of impermanence. What is a monster problem today will be a forgotten thought in the future.

When two people cooperate instead of competing against each other their teamwork accomplishes far more than either of them could have achieved on their own.

Between what happened and what will happen is your choice. So choose to be positive in everyday tasks.

The best feeling in the world is getting paid to do what you love to do.

Good looks attracts the eyes. Personality attracts the heart.

If you’re smiling right now, you’re doing something right.

If you live your life consumed by the past, you waste the great moments you still have left to live.

Treat every small interaction with another person as an opportunity to make a positive impact in both your lives.

There’s a big difference between knowing and doing. Knowledge is useless without action.

Time is of the essence. You are born and you will die. Don’t waste the time in between. Use a time management system to control events, rather than have events controlling you.

The French have an aphorism that you don’t appreciate something until you don’t have it anymore. In 40 years from now what is it that you will regret not having accomplished, appreciated or attempted? Do it, appreciate it, attempt it NOW!

If it’s out of your control, why fret about it? Concentrating on things you can control is how you make good things happen.

Never send a text message, email or photo to someone that’s unfit for the eyes of the entire world. In this digital age you never know what might slip into the public eye.

The acquisition of knowledge doesn’t mean you’re growing. Growing happens when what you know changes how you live.

Once there was a king who received a gift of two magnificent falcons from Arabia . They were peregrine falcons, the most beautiful birds he had ever seen. He gave the precious birds to his head falconer to be trained.

Months passed and one day the head falconer informed the king that though one of the falcons was flying majestically, soaring high in the sky, the other bird had not moved from its branch since the day it had arrived.

The king summoned healers and sorcerers from all the land to tend to the falcon, but no one could make the bird fly. He presented the task to the member of his court, but the next day, the king saw through the palace window that the bird had still not moved from its perch. Having tried everything else, the king thought to himself, “May be I need
someone more familiar with the countryside to understand the nature of this problem.” So he cried out to his court, “Go and get a farmer.”

In the morning, the king was thrilled to see the falcon soaring high above the palace gardens. He said to his court, “Bring me the doer of this miracle.”

The court quickly located the farmer, who came and stood before the king. The king asked him, “How did you make the falcon fly?”

With his head bowed, the farmer said to the king, ” It was very easy, your highness. I simply cut the branch where the bird was sitting.”

We are all made to fly — to realize our incredible potential as human beings. But instead of doing that, we sit on our branches, clinging to the things that are familiar to us. The possibilities are endless, but for most of us, they remain undiscovered. We conform to the familiar, the comfortable, the mundane. So for the most part, our lives are mediocre instead of exciting, thrilling and fulfilling.

So let us learn to destroy the branch of fear we cling to and free ourselves to the glory of flight.

The subject of paranormal sciences and preliminary topics have fascinated me since the very early days of my childhood and interest in such studies grew with age and maturity of thought. The subject is indeed vast and even sub-categorized further into hundreds of topics and categories within. Hundreds of theological books have been written and read since the dawn of civilization and men have never really quenched their thirst for the unknown through the ages.

While studying theology and the philosophy of Islam one would run into the words of Amirul Mumineen Maulana Ali (AS) a devoted disciple of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (SAW) who was enlightened by wahye from Allah Subhanahu. Indeed, Amirul Mumineen was a master of paralinguistic subjects and the art of subjugating the minds of men, which he displayed in his art of warfare. A warrior he was and a master of swordsmanship. History is packed with the heroic victories of Amirul Mumineen (AS) , that led the armies of Rasulallah (SAW) before the battle was even won.

The art of suggestion was what had won these battles, if we were to study the battles from a view point of this subject, apart from being a “moayyad minallah” – helped by Allah, his aura of victory defeated his opponents. To cite a few examples, in Khandaq when Amirul Mumineen (AS) was sent by Rasulallah (SAW) to battle with Amr ibn Abd Wad, Rasulallah (SAW) exclaimed, برز الايمان كله الى الكفر كله, Ali (AS), faith embodied, has entered into war against Amr (who is a non-believer from head to toe). The suggestive sentence was not only in true praise of Ali (AS) but a blow on all those who has waged war on Madina. Then when Amirul Mumineen (AS) answered Amr, he repeated the fact about himself, and declared that he was willful and a visionary. He insisted that truth will prevail. These paraliminal suggestions weakened Amr and he was dead before the battle had even started.

Another example is the battle of Khaybar when Amirul Mumineen (AS) was described by Rasulallah (SAW) as a winner who would fight until he won but never leave the battlefield. While Ali (AS) on the other side pierced a spear in rock right before the fortress where the opponents could see. On seeing this an onlooker from the fortress inquired about the brave warrior and exclaimed that they had already lost the battle.

The words of Rasulallah (SAW) نصرت بالرعب مصيرة شهر describe the psychological imprints that were laid on the minds of the Mushrikeen who came face to face with his victorious army in the battlefield.

This mastery of suggestive imprints is not limited to the battlefield but is clearly seen in all his instructions be it related to personal effects from eating habits to sleep and medication to the social lives of Muslims.

Amirul Mumineen’s (AS) words have always been the center of philosophical studies in Islam and have explanations to broader subjects since they are derived from the root of Wahye, The Quran. He says:

دوائك فيك وما تبـصر ودائك منك وما تشعر

وانت الكتاب المبين الذي بأحرفه يظهر المـضمر

اتحسب انك جرم صغير وفيك انطوى العام الاكبر

Your medication is inside your own self and your disease is from within. You are the clear book that reveals the untold. While you might think that you are just a small particle but within you lies the entire universe.

Such wonderful words to explain the entire theory of people like Deepak Chopra who said in his “Secret of Enlightenment” that when one looks at the world it is the universe looking at itself through his eyes. These three stanzas of beautiful poetry explain the theory of quantum communication which suggests that each neuron and proton in the universe is communicating with each other. we might not even know but we are in continuous communication on a quantum level with the entire universe which is in fact within and internal rather that apart from us. The law of attraction is what these three stanzas explain in its depth. Facts and theories of healers using Reiki and what not are based on this theory put forward by Amirul Mumineen (AS). The masters of hypnosis and suggestive neuro linguistic programing, the yogis and gurus of meditation have understood the deeper meaning of these wonderful words of the disciple of Rasulallah (SAW).

I recently came across 2 anecdotes in a book called اللطائف والظرائف which led reduce my thoughts to words and preserve them. The humorous stories of the past. In one of them it was mentioned that Nabiullah Eisa (AS) passed by a yogi who was engrossed in meditation and prayers under the heat of the sun. Upon his Nabi (AS) inquiry of why he would not carry ibadat under the shade he was told that another passerby Nabi before him had prophesied the age of the yogi as 500 years and he did not want to waste time building a shade for himself. To this Nabiullah Eisa (AS) exclaimed that what would the yogi do if he were to be during the era of Rasulallah whose ummat would live between 50 and 60 years of age. The Yogi was prompt in reply and insisted that he would spend such a small life in one sujud (prostration) itself. Indeed, Eisa (AS) was astonished by such a height of will.

Another anecdote is that a group of mischievous learners surrounded their teacher and started to exclaim that the master was ill. Each of them suggested in different words that he should rest, take a leave and visit the doctor. The suggestive words of the boys soon had its toll on the master who started to feel dizzy and weak, until he asked them to take him home. The mischief mongers on their return from his home recited the above stanzas of poetry that illness is from within rather than from an external source.

On reading these words of immense knowledge I recalled my long study of the subject of which I am no master nor a practitioner rather an interested learner and reader.

The article by Khalaf Ahmed al-Habtoor “Enough Free Propaganda..” is a gem. Every word of it is true and while everyone chooses if they want to be “hurt” or not we are human beings after all. We have the right to choose between right and wrong and we have been given a divine gift to select between various paths in every aspect of life. We are definitely social and therefore have rules and laws in place. But what if, behind the veil of the law, a person can act like a lunatic?

A person has the right to burn his own property, money whatever and the law secures him to do that. Can a mother kill a child after giving birth to it, if she has failed abortion? Abortion is alright then why not killing the new born?

Personally I feel both are nor right and many people feel that but what is law? The thoughts of a few men put together who think they know better then other humans? Then maybe after a few year or a decade or a hundred someone might turn-up and amend it? Whats logical to a person is insane to the other, whats important to a group is rubbish to others. Some people try to uphold the right and freedom to do anything they want just because they are insecure, that maybe they land up in a similar position some day. The blame game starts and say that if such a right is implemented and an insane person carries out insane things people tend to hurt themselves, its their choice and those who are hurt are maybe insecure or whatever.

The people who think they follow logical thinking, play with words and claim that though they also feel insanity to be insane but would rather support logic. What logic is that? Humans manipulate every bit of logic and just walk around in an inhuman manner. Where is our tolerance and where do we stand is the question.

Every successful person, every leader or any of those greatest men we adore who ever walked on the face of the earth were true dreamers. They dreamed to what no one would have ever dared to do in their situation. They were not afraid of the idea that finally made them successful. They not only dreamed big but also believed in their dream.

Belief has such huge strength that can do wonder. It can move the entire existence to work in favor of that belief be is a positive one or a negative thought. Anyone who wants to succeed needs to have a burning desire to have his exact need fulfilled to such an extent that he would see himself actually possessing it. If you want to have a Rolls Royce for your car dream for it and believe that you will possess it someday. Feel yourself actually driving one or sitting in one. Go for a test drive once in a while and feel yourself owning it.

The key to the entire process is to believe in your dream, to have a burning desire to achieve it. Nothing can be gained until you have first given something to receive it. Think and be precise about the think you will do or give to have your dream. Ask and you shall receive is the key to all the success and happiness be it materialistic or be it spiritual in nature. Dreams have no limits and so does ones desire. The more the burning desire the more stronger the belief. Belief can do wonders. Belief does not have choices, it is always a win or die situation and obviously no one wants to die.

Money is everything; that no one will deny though some will disagree. But money could be nothing, or at least become meaningless, to a person if he or she does not observe and understand the following 6 Principles of Life on Money.

Six Principles Of Life On Money
1. No point using limited life to chase unlimited money.
2. No point earning so much money you cannot live to spend it
3. Money is not yours until you spend it.
4. When you are young, you use your health to chase your wealth; when you are old, you use your wealth to buy back your health.
5. How happy a man is, is not how much he has but how little he needs.
6. No point working so hard to provide for the people you have no time to spend with.

What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us.
